Community Engagement Day

Dear Community Partner,

Through Ministry and Fellowship, River of Life Christian Center is committed to bettering the lives of individuals in our local community by strengthening individuals:  Spirit, Soul and Body.   We have been given the opportunity to partner with the Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) to present an exciting community experience to Kinston, North Carolina. 

The Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF), in collaboration with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (DST) and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), is conducting a national health initiative entitled “Research Matters: Creating Possibilities to Achieve Health and Wellness for  All of Us.” The initiative is made possible by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) All of Us Research Program.  One of the Program’s educational strategies is the All of Us Journey, a hands-on, interactive traveling exhibit.  This engaging and exciting “mobile vehicle” offers demonstrations and information that actively engages community members about the landmark research project that will accelerate research and improve health.


The All of Us Journey will be present during our upcoming community engagement activity, Happy, Healthy & Healed; All Around Wellness.   The event will be an opportunity for us to share with the residents of Kinston / Lenoir County information, materials and strategies that will assist in the improvement of their overall well-being.  We also desire to utilize this activity to build and strengthen community relations and relationships.  Educational / Informational Organization, Vendors, Speakers, Instructors/Trainers/Coaches are encouraged to participate.

No Participation Fee

Requirements:

  • 1 Table will be provided per vendor if needed
  • Provide a minimum of 1 (one) product and/or service to serve as a giveaway for raffles during the event. 
  • Promote the event through various outlets (i.e. social media, radio, television, newspaper, word of mouth, etc.)
